A 30 Year Interview
(July 2026):
The French Gaming News website Chroniques D'Azeroth reached out to do a very in depth interview, with deep discussions and dozens of questions about The Syndicate as we reached our 30th anniversary as The Syndicate name and our 35th as a gaming community. That interview is located here: https://leschroniquesdazeroth.fr/actualite/30-ans-de-guildes-la-grande-interview. Raydjahs, the interviewer has a quality that is great to see which is boundless curiosity and a penchant for looking for evidence and facts. He dug deep. He questioned answers. He sought understanding. And he compiled a very nice article that I encourage you to check out and give his website a regular visit. Here is a short excerpt from it: Facing off against an elite monster with millions of health points, braving the dangers of dungeons, pulling off the feat of completing a quest chain deemed impossible, or enlisting the help of your companions to craft the piece of armor of your dreams... These achievements are much harder to accomplish if you are a member of a guild in your favorite massively multiplayer online game. A guild is often structured around a hierarchy and rules, and every player must contribute to it in their own way. While their names vary depending on the type of MMO (a corporation in a space opera or a clan in a medieval fantasy setting), their purpose remains the same: to bring together players who share the same interests so they can progress together and complete the challenges designed by the developers more easily. Since the first titles of this genre, millions of guilds have come and gone, some spanning multiple games (i.e., not limited to a single franchise). However, few have endured as long as The Syndicate.

Faith Faraday by Syndicate Member Hipshot
(October 2025):
Our long time member, Hipshot, wrote and published his first book. As part of his process he asked for some Syndicate support to be beta readers and provide him raw and honest feedback. A number of members stepped and did that which guided him towards an even stronger book that is now low. Hipshot has this thank you to share with the team: [i]Hey everybody. You won't believe it. I wrote a sci-fi book. Six Syndies helped me as beta readers, Ranco, Perlin, Coral, Kit, Taeeren & Erwin. And it's finally up for pre-order, after 4 years of writing, crying, editing, writing, crying, publishing. You can see three of the Syndies give their thoughts on https://www.faithfaraday.com/
But what is the book about?

Launching DnD 2.0
(September 2024):
The Syndicate added DnD campaigns to our guild offerings 5 years ago with the leadership of Monk and ChuWii. We have now run a single campaign for 5 years with many groups all adventuring in the same world towards the same end goal but in their own semi-unique ways. Each year around SyndCon, that season's campaign culminates in a large event where the groups converge and defeat the 'boss' of that season to advance the plot to the next one. At the end of Season 5, we looked across our dozens of members engaged in DnD and updated our approach. We launched DnD 2.0. Within that framework we now support many different games such as Star Trek and Star Wars. We also support multiple different DnD campaigns from 'flash' campaigns lasting only a few weeks, to long term campaigns that will last years. Using our Discord server we built a model that can support many differnet play styles and even allows us to bring in guests (i.e. non-members) to those campaigns so we can maximize the fun that our members are having while growing our friendships that are the core of what makes us successful.

Boys & Girls Club 2024
(September 2024):
Annually we support the Boys and Girls club and the awesome work that they do for kids in need. The services they offer and the mentoring they provide is second to none and has a clear and positive impact on the communities that they serve. Often our donation is what funds the annual fundraising dinner where the remainder of the funds are raised to keep the center open for the year. One could say that without our donation, many of the other donations would never happen and thus the center would be in danger of closing. It is truly our honor to be able to raise money to support such a worthy cause. We could not do it without the support of game developers and gaming PC hardware makers who donate prizes that create the raffle that creates the donation to support B&G. We could not do it without awesome Syndicate members who believe in the cause and thus participate in the raffle in an effort to make a difference to the lives of those kids in need. Thank you to everyone who makes this happen and to the B&G clucb for the blood, sweat and tears that you put into your mission.
